Our new innovative systemised version of traditional tube & fitting:
iDent
Unlike system scaffold iDent retains total flexibility and limitless adaptability of traditional tube and fitting. iDent is unique because it incorporates a series of regular permanent reference points indented in the scaffold tube which can be used to set couplers and pre-fabricated transom units.

Two versions are available:

iDent tubelok utilises systemise lightweight tube fitted with proven twist-lock connections enabling rapid erection of scaffolds.

iDent tube uses standard scaffold tubes connected using either a standard scaffold sleeve or our iDent spigot.

-
Infinite height adjustability maintained along with standard centres.
-
No requirement to use a tape measure or level once the first lift has been set out and levelled using adjustable base jacks.
-
Ledgers and standards are plumbed in vertical and horizontal planes using the built-in reference points.
-
Guardrail heights are pre-set to ensure 100% compliance.

-
Permanent markings around the tube circumference @ 250mm c/c.
-
No need to stagger connections.
-
Infinite lift height adjustment unlike system scaffold.
-
Infinite standard adjustment unlike system scaffold.
-
Guardrail height set at compliant height by default.
-
Total flexibility as with traditional Tube & Fitting.
-
Once the scaffold has been levelled at the base or first lift, there is then no need to use a Level or Tape Measure for the rest of the build.

-
Minimal loose couplers are required when used with Readyloks and LCP iExtend Transom Units.
-
Productivity times for iDent TubeLok match those claimed by the most efficient scaffold systems (see video below).
-
More efficient to dismantle than System Scaffolds.
-
The same benefits as System Scaffold in terms of levelling and flush finish standards/ledgers.
-
Boltless vertical and horizontal connections in Standards and Ledgers.
The old system vs t&f debate
This debate has been going on for decades and the arguments are well-known. Systems are generally faster to erect, have higher load bearing and are neater in appearance. Amongst several disadvantages are cost, a lack of versatility and less ease of storage, transport and handling. iDent addresses all of these perceived disadvantages while adding some unique advantages of its own.
These days some clients, if for example access is required for external facade refurbishment, will specify a system for its neatness and flush outer surface. In reality, as long as the scaffold structure meets the client's requirements, then the type of scaffold is irrelevant. It comes down more to the preference of the scaffolding contractor. iDent gives the client all he is looking for:
-
a safe method of works
-
a scaffold suitable for the works to be undertaken
-
working levels positioned at the exact height required and not restricted to those set by most system scaffolds.
-
unimpeded access, with free walkways if required
-
easy adaptions
-
a neat appearance
-
a flush finish outer face for external cladding and netting
iDent advantages:
-
More cost-effective than a system
-
Requires less yard/storage area than systems
-
Uses existing transport (most systems require a crane-equipped vehicle to lift materials on and off efficiently)
-
Less risk of back injury leaning forward/ over stillages to pick up system components while maintaining the benefit of an upright position when sliding tubes.
-
Easier manual handling passing up and down during construction.
-
No system-specific risk assessment and lifting techniques are to be considered and adopted to prevent injury.
-
No wasted space on transporting vehicles, maximising the volume of material to reduce transport costs and environmental pollution.
-
Minimal maintenance with fewer couplers than t&f
-
More easily repairable components compared to a system

iDent TubeLok
Our premium product utilises the lightweight iDent systemised version of tube and fitting coupled with well-proven twist-lock connections which enables the rapid erection of scaffolds.
Our TubeLok connectors provide 55kN tensile capacity and have an optional locking mechanism which is a common concern with these types of connections.

iDent Tube
iDent Tube is our option for scaffolders who want to stay closer to traditional tube & fitting. Adjoining standard tubes are connected using either scaffold sleeves or our iDent spigot. This allows for greater flexibility for the end user.

The utilisation of our iDent spigot allows for the locking of the connection using either quick-release pins or M12 bolts. A spigot and pinned connection will provide 20kN of tension capacity compared to 2.5kN for a standard sleeve. This extends the capacity of iDent to suspended scaffolds and other load-bearing structures

One of the features unique to iDent Tube using sleeves and/or the spigot tube is that the orientation and alignment of the indentations can be maintained to the full height of the scaffold.
This greatly assists the user in ensuring subsequent couplers attached to the standards are aligned correctly without the further adjustment which is usual with t&f.

iBrace
Complementing iDent, the iBrace allows for quick installation without the need for measurement. Simply install the appropriate iBrace using both couplers fixed at the same reference points on adjacent lifts.

-
Safer to install than regular tube & fitting bracing as there is no need for leaning outside a scaffold façade to tighten the coupler.
-
Stores efficiently due to its simple compact tube-like design.
-
Used correctly with iDent reference points will automatically level the second standard
